ABOUT SYLVIE

Sylvie Breil is from Rosemont, in Montreal’s east end. She trained as an actor and has made her living on and off stage across Canada, mostly Vancouver and Toronto.

Sylvie was never really interested in the big, glossy productions. She loves smaller work, new plays, the stuff that feels raw and that she can dig her teeth into and make her own. Sylvie loves listening to how people really talk, sitting with parts of a scene that don’t resolve, and is now trying to bring that feeling to her writing.

Sylvie splits her time between Toronto and Vancouver. She lives with her wife and writes books she would have wanted to read.
